This story of Dexter is a story of an orphaned boy who witnessed a dramatic event. Dexter’s mother was murdered right before his very eyes. Soon after, Dexter was adopted by a Miami police officer named Harry Morgan. Harry quickly notice that Dexter was headed down to deep, dark path. Rather than have Dexter’s life ruined by the hands of the justice system, Harry taught Dexter everything about committing the perfect crime.

The ability for Dexter to hide in plain sight means that he also has to erase his murdering footprint. In the show, Dexter works in the forensic lab at the Miami Metro Police Department. He is the head blood splatter analysis. Even though he has an excessive drive to kill, what viewers must understand is that Dexter only kills other killers. In turn, is doing the city of Miami Dade County justice.

The Dexter TV show on Showtime is practical for TV viewers for 3 main reasons.

1) Dexter’s flashbacks get viewers involved emotionally.

Because Dexter appears as a general, every day Miami citizen, viewers can’t help but notice what it’s like to be in the mind of a complex, supercharged murderous killer. It is because he also thinks like a regular human being that viewers become emotionally attached to Dexter as a character in the show itself.

2) Dexter does not have any real feelings.

It is interesting to watch a character who has to fake the fact that he feels like a normal human being. To accomplish this he has a girlfriend that just as psychologically disturbed as he is. Her name is Rita. She and Dexter lead a normal intimate relationship. The difference is Dexter is able to make Rita believe that he actually does have normal human feelings that are affected in the relationship. The fact that this is not easy to do is what gives the Dexter show its proclaimed, clever demeanor.

3) Inside the mind of a serial killer.

Just like the show the wonder years where Kevin kept audiences updated with the story by letting us listen to what was in his head, the Dexter TV show successfully accomplishes the same thing. Watching a show that is half narrated by the voice of someone’s head is a good way to keep audiences captivated. It is especially even more interesting when those voices are the thoughts of a serial killer.

One can see why the Dexter TV show on Showtime is watched by millions of viewers worldwide. The ability to create a presence from a character who is clever enough to keep himself undercover is why I insist and TV viewers alike keep coming back for more.

Twilight New Moon fans all over the world are awaiting the New Moon DVD Release. The only movie over the last 12 months that could possibly top ‘Twilight’ in terms of popularity is the second in the Twilight Saga: ‘New Moon’. Summit Entertainment, the company who is responsible for the production of Twilight and New Moon have recently announced that the New Moon DVD release will be accompanied by the release “Twilight in Forks”. “Twilight in Forks – The Saga of The Real Town” is a new documentary film that Summit Entertainment has just bought the rights to distribute. It is directed by three time Emmy award winner Jason Brown.

“Twilight in Forks” shows the town of Forks where Twilight was filmed – showing the Forks high school, stories of the people living in Forks and the legends of the area. Fans will hear from the real life people living in Forks and how some are even mistaken as the Twilight characters Bella and Alice. Its release, alongside the New Moon DVD release is expected to be early 2010.

In case you’ve been living under a rock for the last year, the New Moon DVD release will be the second movie to come from the phenomenally successful books written by Stephenie Meyer: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. ‘New Moon’ continues the story of young, forbidden love between a vampire and a mortal, taking it to new levels of intrigue, suspense and action.

In ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’….Bella has just survived a vampire attack on her and is looking forward to celebrating her 18th birthday with her vampire love Edward and his family. It is then that disaster almost strikes as Bella gets a paper-cut producing a drop of blood that Jasper (a member of the Cullen family) can’t resist. In order to protect Bella, Edward leaves her and the Cullen family leave the town of Forks.

Bella is heartbroken and depressed and turns to her good and loyal friend Jacob for comfort. But there’s something about Jacob Bella doesn’t realize yet – and as Bella is haunted by an enemy from the past she is thrown into the dangerous world of werewolves and vampires.

With a very talented and attractive cast including Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner, Ashley Green and Dakota Fanning directed by Chris Weitz – the New Moon DVD release is sure to live up to people’s expectations. Good news Twilight fans…..

2010 marked the tipping point for 3D movies – in terms of public interest and acceptance. According to a recent report by PricewaterhouseCoopers, at a time when overall worldwide ticket sales are decreasing, 3D sales are helping to increase the industry’s revenue – in fact, 3D ticket sales are currently accounting for some 50%-70% of industry revenue.

This high percentage of sales is partly accounted for by the premium that can be charged on tickets for 3D features, and partly on the higher percentage of tickets sold for 3D. For example, over opening weekends, movies such as “Step Up” have been earning 84% of their revenue from 3D, when compared to earlier movies such as “Avatar” at 80% and “Final Destination: Death Trip” at 73%.

Increased UK takings

In the UK, box office takings last year increased by 8% to a total of £1.076 billion on the back of the success of 3D releases such as “Toy Story 3″ and “Alice in Wonderland”. The UK’s 725 cinemas have some 3,650 screens, of which around 700 have digital projection systems, most of which can show 3D films.

Asia outstrips even the US

If you want to see the most dramatic growth from the 3D movie phenomenon, you need to look east. In Hong Kong, the first half of 2010 saw box office receipts increase by 20%, while ticket sales were actually down by 2%. In South Korea, the story was similar, with a 15% increase in revenue on 4% fewer admissions.

The biggest growth of all, of course, was in China. Box office takings doubled year-on-year, with “Avatar” alone accounting for 60% of the increase. Premium priced tickets for “Alice in Wonderland” and “Clash of the Titans” also made significant contributions. In Japan, box office revenues increased by 7.7% on an admissions rise of just 0.6%.

‘True 3D’ or 2D to 3D conversion?

The worldwide success of “Avatar” has appeared to whet the appetite of audiences for movies that have been conceived as a 3D experience, rather than made as a 3D version of what was originally conceived as a 2D movie.

There are reports that film-goers have been put off going to 3D movies which have been converted in post-production, but are they taking account of the care of conversion? A rushed conversion will give audiences a poor experience as there are many technical factors to keep in balance when creating the 3D effect. Pushing your footage through an automatic conversion will not make a perfect 3D version of the director’s vision.

Conceiving the film as a 3D project and shooting with stereo equipment gives the best experience for the audience. However, for movies which have been shot in 2D a careful, manual conversion using post-production tools with skill can give audiences a good 3D movie even when starting from 2D footage.

Ein Film dass ist nicht zu übersehen, wenn es um die besten Filme Kevin Bacon der vergangenen Jahre ist Sleepers werden. In diesem Film spielt Mr. Bacon ein böses Gefängnis bewachen, die gefoltert und vergewaltigt kleinen Jungen in einer juvenilen Zuchthaus. Der Film konzentriert sich auf die erwachsenen Jungen den Umgang mit ihrer Vergangenheit.
Ein weiteres fantastisches Film mit Speck ist A Few Good Men. Dieser Film wurde von Aaron Sorkin, der einer der besten Drehbuchautoren im Spiel geschieht geschrieben. Das war ein Ausbruch Film für Sorkin Karriere und dieser Film auch Stars Jack Nicholson und Tom Cruise.
Ein anderer Film, den ich fühlen, ist würdig, in denen sich The River Wild. Das war ein spannender Film, der stattfindet, an einem Fluss wie ein Paar schlechte Männer gehen auf einem Fluß nimmt eine Familie als Geiseln. Dieser Film auch die Sterne immer großen Meryl Streep.
Hoffentlich gibt es einen oder mehrere Filme auf dieser Liste von Kevin Bacon, die Sie noch nicht gesehen haben, aber nun zu prüfen.

When Twilight was released on DVD, it sold 3.8 million units in the first two days, generating more than 180 million dollars in DVD sales. New Moon was even better, selling 4 million copies in the first weekend. Producers are hoping it will earn at least the same as Twilight, if not more. Now that the time is drawing near for the Eclipse DVD release, will it manage to set a new record for the franchise?

The hype surrounding the Twilight series is based on the huge success Stephenie Meyer achieved with her first novel. Additional sequels followed the pattern as the audience was hungry for new adventures of their heroes, Bella, Edward and Jacob. As the movies were released, fans were thrilled by an opportunity to see the story in film. With Breaking Dawn announced for 2010, it will be four movies in four years, maximizing the marketing effect.

The producers wanted to take Eclipse in a slightly different direction than the first two movies, so they hired David Slade to direct it, since Chris Weitz turned them down, stating that he was too busy with completing New Moon. Apart from adding more action than in previous movies, Slade was more concerned with telling a good story, than simple being different.

New action scenes have pushed Eclipse into action/ horror-thriller, which will certainly appeal to a much broader audience than Twilight and New Moon. As the terror spreads throughout Seattle, Belle is caught between her lover vampire Edward and her friend werewolf Jacob, who also has feelings for her.

The ancient rivalry between vampires and werewolves is held at bay by a fragile truce, to which both parties agreed only because of Bella. The situation is complicated by Victoria, who is looking to enact her revenge upon Bella for the death of her boyfriend in a previous chapter of the saga. Edward and Jacob will have to work together if they are to stop Victoria’s army of newborn vampires and save Bella.

“Bring back Rachel” was the most seen message on Twitter on July 29th 2009. This was the day when Summit Entertainment announced that they are replacing her with Bryce Dallas Howard as Victoria in Eclipse. They even made her a tribute video on You tube. Rachel stated that she was overwhelmed by the fans’ support. However, even though she did a good job interpreting Victoria in the first two movies, we have to be fair and say that Bryce Dallas Howard managed the role quite well in Eclipse, playing a villain.

The final sequel of the saga, Breaking Dawn, will enter pre-production in 2010, although Summit Entertainment still hasn’t approved the final adaptation. Melissa Rosenberg, who wrote the screenplays for the first three movies, is also in charge of the fourth.

One other thing they are missing is a director. The success of Twilight Saga: Eclipse will surely influence David Slade’s chances of being selected for the job, but the rumors have it that Academy Award winner Bill Condon is also being considered. One thing is for sure, who ever is chosen will have huge shoes to fill.
