It all depends on which day of the week it opens on. If it opens on a Friday it will make 100 million. If it opens on a Wednesday it will make close to about 80 million. That’s what happened to the last Harry Potter movies. But, I don’t really give a s*** about Twilight.

hmmm well now that Jacob is in the book more and is played by Taylor Luatner :) im sure some people will go to see eclipse im not sure if it will beat new moon cuz its not many peoples fav book..
Also you can see the quality difference by the poster pics so if they keep up the good work they might break the record :[) hopefully they do!

yes new moon was way better than twilight- mainly in how it was much closer to the events in teh book- i dont really like breaking dawn-a s a book- eclipse will be good to see- but i really really don’t wanna be obsessed with it like i was waiting for new moon for about a year :S i think the film version of new moon- edward was just like ” yeah i lied- take me back” it was abit fast in the bit compared to book- but overall-amazing- especially new special effects, wolves, and music!

I think some of that may be that there is a big chunk of Twi fans that are older (ie not teens but not OLD) (like myself) who may have waited to see it specifically not to be involved in any opening weekend crushes. My friends and I went to an 8pm showing on Monday night assuming that most of the kids will have already been there and would be home with school the next day.

It is a record breaker, actually. Because at least 75% of the crowd are females, where as Dark Knight and SpiderMan 3 viewers appeal to both genders. What ***** flick movie is there that reached this much? It’ll take decades to break this one.
Of course, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn won’t count.
